Hands-on! Working together, we are going to build a boat from start to finish. This will be a group project and by the end of this workshop, you will be able to build your own simple and efficient plywood rowing skiff – at home.
The Jiffy Skiff is a seaworthy and attractive plywood rowboat designed for beginners. Anyone with basic woodworking skills can build this boat. Most of the construction is done with hand tools. This workshop will give you the experience either to build your own boat later, or to be remembered as a once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment. All materials are provided, but the skiff will be offered for sale at cost. Basic woodworking skills required.
